About Me

Hi, I'm Victor Gabel, a master's student at the Ocean Dynamics Laboratory (LaDO) at the Institute of Oceanography, University of São Paulo (IO-USP). My research focuses on mesoscale ocean dynamics, particularly extreme current events.

I'm passionate about computational simulations, multivariate analysis, and discovering new tools to enhance my research. On this site, you'll find my thesis (once completed), ongoing projects, and other academic contributions.

Additionally, you can find the content of my "Python for Oceanography" course, which I taught in 2022. This course introduces basic data processing techniques in physical oceanography using Python, with various examples and exercises.

Currently, it is only available in Portuguese and is being revised to improve its teaching approach.
